Role Overview:
The Financial Systems Architect is crucial for the seamless operation of Stikeman's financial systems. Serving as a liaison between the IT department and the stakeholders, the role involves planning and executing application roadmaps, and collaborating with IT Directors, CIO, CFO, and business leaders. Responsibilities include overseeing applications, managing the ERP system transition, and maintaining time and file management systems (InTapp Suite). The Architect brings expertise in developing secure, scalable, and integrated financial technologies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and prioritize Firm’s application portfolio with a focus on Finance applications.
- Assume a technical lead role on Finance upgrade projects and new application implementation projects.
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of financial concepts and processes to work as a SME for key finance applications (Intapp products, Aderant CMS/Expert, Reporting Tools etc).
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of Law Firm financial processes (month end, year end, time keeping, billing etc)
- Manage the application portfolio to ensure they are always maintained and fully operational, including documenting processes and information workflows.
- Play a key role in production support for Aderant CMS and Intapp systems including, but not limited to investigating, researching, resolving system issues, and addressing application functionality questions. Serve as the focal point to the Firm for all Application enhancement requests.
- Ensure the security of Financial and File open systems through established security protocols.
- Oversee and manage vendor relations and workflows, collaborating with business leaders.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise in application design and integration.
