Just 4 bill formats serving 30 worldwide locations in 13 languages with the same look and feel.

Bird & Bird recently undertook a large project to re-install their Aderant global finance system 20+ years since its first install. A key part of this project was to bring uniformity and consistency to the look and feel of their bill templates across the global network, as well as reducing the number of billing templates they relied upon in their finance system.

ITFS took this brief and worked with the firm over the course of a year turning their detailed international requirements (spanning the 28 countries they operate in) into a few key templates that all offices could use.

Since go-live in January 2023 we have had 7 month ends, one of which was a year end with a significantly heavy volume of bills and these templates have stood up to the job well.

Margaret Waldron of ITFS commented “In the end we designed four formats that deliver a bill with or without a cover letter and with either a detailed breakdown of disbursements on the page or a summary.  Using Matter Options, the users have a choice of several supporting fee and disbursement attachments including those for phase and tasks.”
